How to Use the Fiverr Fee Calculator
This calculator estimates Fiverr service fees for sellers and buyers. All amounts are in USD. Choose your role, enter an amount, and see what Fiverr takes or what you need to pay.
The calculator has three tabs. Results are preserved when you switch tabs, so you can compare different modes without re-entering data.
Seller Mode
Use this mode when you want to know how much Fiverr deducts from your order earnings and what you keep.
Order Amount ($): Enter the total value of the order. Fiverr takes a flat 20% commission on all seller earnings regardless of order size, with rates drawn from Fiverr's seller earnings documentation.
Enter your order amount to see the service fee deducted and your net earnings.
Example:
- A customer order $100
- Fiverr service fee (20%): $20
- Your net earnings: $80
Example:
- A customer order $500
- Fiverr service fee (20%): $100
- Your net earnings: $400
Formula: fee = earnings × 20 / 100
Buyer Mode
Use this mode when you want to know the service fee Fiverr adds on top of the gig price.
Gig Price ($): Enter the listed price of the gig or custom offer.
Fiverr charges buyers a 5.5% service fee on the gig price. For orders under $200, an additional $3.50 small order fee applies. Orders $200 and above pay only the percentage fee, with rates drawn from Fiverr's buyer service fee documentation.
Example under $200:
- A customer order $50
- Service fee (5.5%): $2.75
- Small order fee: $3.5
- Total service fee: $6.25
- Total you pay: $56.25
Example over $200:
- A customer order $500
- Service fee (5.5%): $27.5
- Small order fee: $0 (order is $200+)
- Total service fee: $27.5
- Total you pay: $527.5
Formula: fee = (gigPrice × 5.5 / 100) + ($3.5 if gigPrice < $200)
Reverse Mode
Use this mode when you have a target amount and need to work backwards to find the gross amount.
Select your role first:
- Seller: Enter the net amount you want after Fiverr's 20% fee. The calculator shows the order amount to charge.
- Buyer: Enter the gig price. The calculator shows the total you pay including the buyer service fee and any small order fee.
When you select Seller, the input label becomes Net Amount I Want ($). When you select Buyer, it becomes Gig Price ($).
Seller:
- You want to net exactly $80 after the 20% fee
- Amount to charge: $100
- Fiverr fee: $20
- Your net: $80
Formula: chargeAmount = desiredNet / (1 - 20 / 100)
Buyer:
- You want to buy a $50 gig
- Total you pay: $56.25
- Fiverr fee: $6.25
- Gig price: $50
Formula: totalPayment = gigPrice + buyerFee

Tips for Accurate Results
- Seller fees are always 20%: No tiered structure, no exceptions. Every dollar you earn, Fiverr keeps 20 cents
- Buyer small order fee adds up: The $3.50 fee applies to every order under $200. Consolidate into larger orders to save
- Buyer fees are added, seller fees are deducted: Sellers see fees removed from earnings; buyers see fees added on top
- Use Reverse mode for exact targets: When you need a precise net amount as a seller, Reverse mode prevents underquoting
- Both sides pay fees: On a $100 gig, the buyer pays $109 and the seller receives $80. Fiverr keeps $29 total
